the miniaturist’s assistant listed in reading group choices

Today I woke up to the news that The Miniaturist’s Assistant has been including in Reading Group Choices’ 2024-2025 print edition! I am delighted!

Reading Group Choices is a resource that provides book recommendations and discussion questions for reading groups. They’ve been around since 1994, partnering with authors, publishers, independent bookstores, and libraries—and they guide book clubs to the best books. The annual guide contains 50+ book recs in three categories: fiction, nonfiction, and young adult. Each title is carefully selected for reading groups, and includes discussion questions crafted to facilitate lively group discussions. I’m thrilled that The Miniaturist’s Assistant has been selected, and that it’ll hopefully find its way into the hands of book clubs, who I ADORE.

And I’m especially happy to see that my fellow Regal House Publishing author, Nell Joslin, has also been included, with her Civil War-era historical novel Measure of Devotion.

And check out the issue’s gorgeous cover art: that’s “Reading From Harlem,” by Loveis Wise. I’ve ordered a print copy for myself, and I plan to frame it.
