I’m delighted to once again be a part of the Annual Birchwood Book & Author Fair, held this coming Sunday, August 9th from 2 – 5 p.m. in Pickens, South Carolina.

Sponsored by the Birchwood Center for Arts and Folklife, the Fair will be held in All Saints Hall at the Pickens Presbyterian Church, 311 W. Main Street. The Fair highlights local and regional writers, historians, poets, and more–and their work. Lots of great books will be for sale, of course, and it’s a unique opportunity to have one-on-one time with authors … time that’s tough to get at other events.

Some writers will be reading from their work, and I plan to either read a bit from my newspaper column at The Greenville News, or from my historical novel-in-progress. I’ll have copies of my debut historical novel, Keowee Valley, available for purchase.

Why not take a Sunday drive up into the gorgeous and green South Carolina foothills, and have a visit with fellow book-lovers and writers? I sure hope to see y’all there.
