New column: “Choosing a Christmas tree takes time and a bit of magic”

Today’s column in The Greenville News is all about choosing the perfect Christmas tree. My family’s method involves a national forest, friends, our dog, and a bonfire. I’d love to hear about yours!

To read, go here.

P.S. The Fraser Fir Christmas Tree Farm where we go each and every year is truly unlike any other: It’s Ziegler Tree Farm (formerly High Valley Trout and Tree Farm) in Brevard. Really, in the middle of Pisgah National Forest via Hwy 64/Rosman Highway. If you live anywhere close by, or are just up for a mountain adventure, you’ve got to visit! (Be prepared for a 6 mile winding gravel road into the national forest.)
